Nice and sunny here today, would love to go out and play in the plot but I am working!

Working from home has some benifits but when you can see the garden and can not get to it is a little annoying

Just seems to be cold, damp and dark here just now. Had some frost last week.

I hate this part of the year, sun is good, don't mind snow or frost but damp and grey yuch! It is depressing

B****y freezing today, rain not stopped for days. Stepping into puddles everywhere. Hurry up and snow at least that makes you feel better than this wet greyness we are suffering

Yes I lived in Cheshire and it hardly snowed at all and it was milder.

I can send your weather back down to you if you want? Shouldn't take to long in this wind

Blue sky and no gales force winds for the first time this year

It is very cold, 1c but it is nice to see the sun.

Well after the lovley weather yesterday, it started to snow last night.

Lovley white snow this morning, sleet all day and forecast for snow again tonight and -2c

Heating on and a night in front of the telly i think.

It's frozen again today. As much as I've enjoyed the lovely sunshine which comes with the frost, I'm fed up with the cold. I suppose I'm just a bit desperate for the spring to arrive and get started sowing and growing.

It's suppose to snow sometime over the next couple of days, at least it would be something different. Sorry, just needed a good moan, I want the spring to come NOW!!!!! The closer it gets the more impatient I get.

Thanks for the moan
Happy springtime when it comes
Ogilvie

PS I'll will definitely be trying the pea seed thingy.

Hi Ogilvie,

Can I join in your moan please ? It has been freezing over here too, in a bit of a dip here and it has been solid ice since Monday.

I sarted of some seeds on the window ledge which are coming along nicley but I fear I have been a little to egar as it does not look like they will be able to go out for a bit yet.

Roll on spring!!!!!

hi, just found this thread and think it's really useful, both for the weather and to see who we've got around us !

today was warmer but brisk/chilli/damp. g/h heaters have been off during the day but still definitely on overnight. temp in the g/h got up to 90 today but then you've only got to have 10 mins of sun for that to happen i guess.

had our first rain in days over the weekend. my butts/buckets have been empty for a while now.

hoping for a good weekend cos i 've so much to do outside.

Fairly mild today about 6c overcast and wind is starting to get up, feels like we are going to get a bit of stormy weather.

Here too mandy. it waited until i got home and now it's raining pretty heavily with enough wind to make me have to stand all my fruit bushes in pots in front of the greenhouse doors that i've just repaired. just to stop them blowing off ! ooh matron !

the bird table had blown right over so now have loads of seed on the deck for the ground feeders to swoop on tomorrow.

The good thing is that my water buckets/butts will get semi-filled and my blueberries will get watered.

Hi MrsKP,

I hope everything is ok, it has just started raining properly here now but it does feel like wew are for a bit of a night.

Roll on spring, I hate buying shop bought veg. I have just been shopping and put the tatties and corn and the cob down to see my seed potatoes and corn seeds looking at me along with the chilli's and everything else.

I don't think dinner is going to taste good unless I hide those seeds!

just been outside to rescue the pea fleece that had come adrift in the night.

one of the lids on the cold frame needs yet another repair and i've moved the broadies into the small greenhouse just to get them a bit of a rest from the wind.

the fleece tunnel over some salad leaves and radishes has held in place which is a bonus.

it doesn't look like dropping anytime soon, so will probably have to carry out some more running repairs after work.
