Default Easter Weekend

Well, it's Easter again and the weather forecast is dreadful. My greenhouse is bursting at the seams with stuff that needs to go to the lottie, I have (hopefully) four days off work and according to the weather forecasters I won't be able to do anything I'd planned. I know we had snow around the end of March last year but I just wish that someone would be kind and arrange the good weather to fit in with my time off from work.

I'm with you - don't want it cold or what a waste of the enforced time off! It will have to be indoor jobs (and there are plenty of those in my house lol)

Same here - skirting in the new bedroom for me

I wouldn't mind if it was just cold, or just wet, but cold, wet and windy - it's just not fair!

Oh yes, housework!! I try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary, but now the days are getting longer and the light is getting brighter I'm noticing things that need to be done, like getting rid of the cobwebs, washing the paintwork, and maybe a little light decorating. I'd much rather be gardening.

It's a slippery slope though; every time you clean or paint something, it makes the other bits look dirty!

We moved into our house in Jan and it was like a squat. In fact we couldn't even sleep here the first night as I was worried for the health of my children. I just want to be outside doing garden things and the house hasn't moved on much. At least it's clean (ish) now although my kitchen does ressemble a potting shed at the mo! lol
We have got one room done and 3 rooms carpeted. But I've done LOADS outside! And the chickens live in luxury!

Bit like painting the Forth Bridge - soon as you've finished (if you ever do) you need to start again.

Ooh I read about some new paint thing for the forth bridge so by the year 2011 or something like that it won't need re-painting. We will all have to find another comparable then!
maybe I will say it's a bit like tidying up children's toys, as soon as you've finished there are loads more strewn about lol
