Nicely watering in all the bedding plants.

Bit chilly on morning run: woolly sleeved top plus tracksuit top plus hat: did not need to remove any and hands still cold at end of it..

Brrrrrrr

Slightly blustery, plenty of rain showers and the temp is only just into double figures.

Default Bloody Weather.

The continuous rain has now become patchy rain, my rain measure pot is reading just under an inch for the last 2 days so far.

Wind has calmed down now after most of my Delphiniums have been smashed down.

Very cold now.
Found a dead frog on my path, looked fine except being dead... can frogs die of cold..?

colder than yesterday. Cut hedges am whilst dry (ish): beech and box. Had to finish box by hand and do all beech by hand as rechargeable cutter ran out... and I knew it would rain this pm.. which it duly has.

Temperature this morning around 8C and double figures look unlikely.
Fortunatley brooding quails in garage are now nearly 4 weeks old and have lots of feathers and incubating eggs will not notice (but are due to hatch tomorrow).
My incubator is self built: last week I had to switch power down (dimmer switch) to setting 1 (home made markings).. yesterday and today it's on setting 8. No need to worry about humidity tho .. 72% and condensation on perspex viewing window.

Central heating on this pm:-(

Wasn't it just! Thunder and lightning and huge raindrops! Just come back from the Hill where the earth has been splashed well up the broad beans. Gorgeous now, though.

Change the a bit patchy with cloud later to a torrential downpour.

Overcast this am.
