  • Young chilli plant leaf problem?

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help ...

I've got several varieties of chilli under a grow light and they mainly look fabulous. However, I've noticed what appears to be a problem with some of the De Arbol - it seems to be restricted to them. Can anyone shed any light? I'll be devastated if it's something that will spread to the other plants

    Many thanks for any help

Is it ready for potting on as it looks quite large for the pot, I would be tempted to pot it on & remove any damaged leaves.

Someone else posted with a similar problem a while ago. I think the consensus was that it was oedema. Found a link here about the disorder A topic on edema - Growing Hot Peppers - The Hot Pepper

I thought oedema, in which case removing leaves will make it worse!

          Edema?

Thanks for the really useful link ... I'm not quite 100% convinced though, as the article mentions the blisters on the underside of the leaves whereas I would say it is the top surface of the leaf that I've noticed is affected.

I can hope that's what it is tho! A bit better air circulation should help ...

I'll also search on the term and try to find the previous discussion (and won't remove any leaves in the meantime!)

          Thanks again

Definitely looks like it needs to be potted on though, pot looks small in proportion to the plant size.
