  • Yey I finally have some raised beds!

Took long enough, have photos on my blog (see sig).

I am very happy that now I can start planting things. Just got to keep an eye out for bindweed still. Managed to get rid of loads but I'm sure I've missed some!

Next step is sorting the patio out, putting some paths in, making some benches for my trays to go on in the greenhouse, finishing the greenhouse and sorting the beds out in there ready for my tomatoes!

It's never ending! Although will be fab when all the building work is done

Thanks all! The paint was a £1 tub from B&Q as it had no instructions or colour on, can't really complain though! The sides of the bed were off the shed roof which we took down and I think the only new things are the stakes to keep the bed from toppling and the compost. We did ask at the local green tip if they had any but it's not ready yet.

I was going to have all the lawn bit as raised beds as well, but then my dad said he wouldn't help clear it if I did that! So we compromised and I got the help

It's been a 5 year slog though! However I blame pregnancy, back problems, lack of money and lack of time on it

Is nice not to have vegetables that are in pots though. Although I've grown veg before and attempted to grow some in a bed this is the first year I have good access to them
