| Is it the pods that are going yellow or the leaves? I think when the plant/leaves goes yellow it's all up and you won't get any more pods, but you can still eat anything that's on there. Dunno about pods going yellow, ours all got et too quick

| I think peas are fairly shallow rooting and because of the amount of foliage transpiring water in hot weather are very susceptable to drying out at the roots.
