  • Wonder what I'm gonna get?

I Saved some seeds last year fron Rolet Gem Squash that we grew, but I didn't bag(and hand polinate) the flowers. The saved seed has now grown and started flowering a couple of weeks ago. I looked this evening and I'm in for a surprise ... as it definately is a cross! Either with the butternut or the Gold Rush Courgettes I'm inclined to believe it was the Gold rush's looking at the immature veg.

So a warning to new growers who are wanting to save seed for next year..... do a bit of research before you do

On the other hand, I'm quite excited to see what I end up with and if the results are worthwhile! - Perhaps my very own to refine and breed true

Never test the depth of the water with both feet

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

That's how the old gardeners used to develop new breeds. It's done a tad more scientifically now but you may well get a nice veg!
