  • The Wonder Of Nature

Earlier in the year one of my cumbers looked like it had given up the ghost, leaves brown & shriveled, stem weak etc etc.

I abandoned it to its fate but having nothing to put in its place I just left it there. A week or so later I noticed a small green shoot so gave it a splash of water. Since then I have had 4/5 cumbers off it, it as reached the GH roof and is full of fruit, it is easily my most productive cumber.

Nature is truly wonderful it puts right what we get wrong.

My father used to say 'plants WANT to live.' Not particularly original, maybe, but I always think of it when I'm nurturing seedlings and some are behind or whatever. It's an optimistic little saying, and certainly applies to your cuke!
