| 2`6" of soil, are you growing carrots or orange fence posts? Wth the weather being really odd its probably mild enough to grow most green manures and just over if required.

If I was really serious about growing carrots, like some of the guys at the lottie I'd have them in forty gallon drums or use the old crowbar spun around in the soil trick! I am determined to get some reasonable carrots this year! You are probably right though, the way this weather is going I'll be planting Banana trees next! so I will possibly get away with any green manure
