  • Will my Spinach return?

    Hi guys
I'm in the middle of growing about 50 spinach plants in the GH but completely forgot about the weather being so hot the other day and I came home to find about half of them all wizened...
I've moved them outside where I thought it should be slightly cooler perhaps and gave them a good watering. There seems to be no sign of life though...
They were only about an inch or so high. Do you think they will ever come back or should I give up and plant some more?

If they were only a inch or so high, and were completely brown and dry, I doubt they'll come back.
I have to ask though, why the greenhouse? Spinach likes cooler weather than most stuff like, lettuce, and can live in better a bit of shade than in hot sun..

I'm still new to all this Taff and someone told me to keep all the new growth in the greenhouse until they were ready to go outside... The only thing I have now in the GH is my chillis...
Will have to plant some more then and keep them outside this time....

Makes sense...plant out what's still alive, try and keep the slugs and snails off them, and they should be ok.

When the weather is cold, yes. But in June ... it's at least ten degrees outside
