  • Why didn't I think of that before.

As some will know about 3 weeks or so ago I purchased a Glow Light Garden to help raise seedlings.

It as only took me that long to think of this.

Sorry for the poor pic but the amount of light coming from the thing made pic one very dark. As can be seen from pic two the lights in the room were on at the time.

Does this mean that you're pleased you bought it?

I wouldn't have thought you'd need to increase the light, but if you do I've read that matte white (paint or any matte white surface) is more reflective than tin foil.

What is it you thought of? The foil, using it in a frame, taking a photo or posting it on here. Not sure I follow you at the mo.

With Maccabee on this. I did a bit of research when I built my diy grow box and foil is a poor reflector. Some cheap hardboard painted matt white, or even white sheets of paper would be much better.
I also sit my pots and trays on books so they get nearer the lights (almost touching), and then take away books as the plants grow taller.
                Hi btw, first post :-)

Glad you managed to sort your registration out redser - welcome!

I think Colin means about the foil acting as a reflector - I do this in a similar fashion with jan-feb sown seeds.

First, a big warm Welsh welcome to Redser!
As for Potty, it is nigh impossible for me to understand what he's going on about most of the time!! Why should this be any different?
