    whoops!!!!!

    planted a load of grass seeds a couple of weeks ago, there were a couple of dips in the lawn and a few bare patches ..... just went out to check the growth, and one patch is full of melon plants wondered where those seeds went lol

    lol, you could leave them for a while huna dn then transplant them into the garden....and then put the grass seeds on

            yeah, at least they are growing whilst i dig up the front lawn for them

            *chucks a bucket of water on you before you can get up*they came straight out of a melon, i never thought they'd actually grow .... the ones i planted in the bed are no where to be seen lol

            ...... actually it was kinda dark when i was doing the lawn (i just had the urge whilst slug hunting, and didn't want to wait till tomorrow, as it had stopped raining)

              If you leave some of them there you could make a feature out of them.
              A few years ago I left a pumpkin on a stack of bricks in the back garden. It eventually rotted down and last year lots of little pumpkin plants grew. Shame I don`t like pumpkin.

                I knew those cloches would come in handy - get them over the melons!!

                  lol, pumpkin seeds are yummy in bread and carrot cake ..... i'm growing pumpkins to get 2 for son and his g/f for halloween fingers crossed ...... looks like i'm growing about 30 melon plants too now lol ...... good job i can freeze it as they make a good base for smoothies.

                  not sure i fancy them as a feature though, it's taken me ages to get my lawn looking all smooth and pretty

                        I know it`s not organic but a have a growing pile of concret/cement in the middle of my lawn from the cement mixer from my OH building his workshop. I also have an upturned 15foot trampoline which has grass growing through it.
                        I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

                          When I was clearing my allotment yesterday I found a plastic chair growing in amongst the waist-deep sticky-wicky. My little girl was well pleased, at least until she realised there were slugs on it

                            i'm gonna win ...... i think there was once a peg tree, cos when i dug the lawn up it was full of them and there was also 47 bricks... i also have a big concrete pole, i tried to remove it, but it's buried in concrete about 10 feet down lol ....... so i'm going to paint it black put a trellis round it and grow something pretty, i also have a patio for the birds.

                            my front lawn is full of potatoes, pumpkins,squash, and melons ....and will no doubt be having more melons tomorrow too ....... and anything else i can fit in there .... it also has 4 green chairs growing ....... do i get a prize?

                            lol that sounds like something i'd do thinking no probs will clean it up later, then remembering about it 3 months later
                            oh yeah, i have a very bent trampoline covered in chopped off hawthorn branches ....and a pallet and a swimming pool too,

                            well at least once you've got rid of the slugs, you'll have somewhere to sit

                              I'm growing chards of glass in my garden, from the not-so-bright previous owners using it to 'improve the soil'. That's KIND of organic, or at least the starting material was!

                              Keep us posted on the melons. Wonder if they'll grow better? loL!
