  • Whoop whoop

Well, some of my first crops for this year have just germinated. Just tomatoes for now, but it's nice to see growing season is on it's way

Nothing better! I'm still a few weeks away from starting stuff - I got carried away last year and sowed a few things far too early Still working out what I'm going to grow and where it's going to go.

Though I did find some garlic sprouting in the cupboard so may nip up to the allotment today and pot it up in the unheated greenhouse and see how it goes. It'll either grow or it won't!

These will be staying indoors for a while yet.

It's my silly husband - gets these ambitious chef moments and buys a net of three or more garlic bulbs, uses one then forgets the rest! Like I say, they'll either grow or they won't...I just cannot bear to chuck them in the bin as they still look nice and healthy and firm

Nothing like seeing the first heads pop up looking for you
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

              Don't tempt me!!!

Got 13 sprouting bulbs (cloves?) from the garlic so they're now potted up and we'll see how they do. Two bulbs were still in good condition so I've brought them back home to go in a chilli....which I will cook tomorrow!

I'm still sitting on my hands so i won't be tempted yet, I haven't bought compost so I can't! But I was a bit thrilled to see shoots coming up all over the garden today. That'll have to do for now

My head is preoccupied at the mo,which is good so i do not get too carried away, but that feeling when the little heads start to pop up is always a wonder,no matter how many times you witness it,

My chilli and sweet peppers have finally put some effort into germinating so they can Whoop along with you.

2 out of 4 of my chillies have popped up - zero sign of the other two yet but I'm keeping fingers crossed!

I so want to get started sowing, but I can't until nearly March.

I mean, don't feel sorry for me; I can't 'cos I'm going on holiday for most of February, but still...

I might be a little dibble and start a few toms off at the weekend - even though I have carrot seeds that say that they can be sown in Jan.

Oh and my perennial flower seeds (don't know what they are as forgot to lable them) are growing a bit.

Awesome to see lots of other people with things starting to grow too. I have had a few more toms pop up, along with some chives. Still need to do my check for today, so could be even more!
