  • White patches on my winter squash

2 of my Kabocha squashes have this large white blemishes on them. Didnt get this last year.
It sort of looks as though its mould (hazy white, bit like on the skin of a salami) but its not mouldy when you touch it, the skin is normal to the touch. It is also firm to the touch so atm doesn't seem like its rotting. Any idea what this is? I really don't want them to turn bad!
    Thanks x

Could it just be that the pigment in the skin has faded in the sun?

I hope so! Though usually where the sun gets it, it tends to go a slight orange colour
