Hiya, think it depends on what type they are.
my 1st earlies are in the ground, and in a tub in the green house. if you're putting them under cover you could always try it- otherwise beware of frost!

I'm putting mine in grow bags outside in a couple of weeks but will have fleece at the ready.

Put mine in grow bags tonight, but in the greenhouse. I'll move them out when the weather is more constant. As for the plot I've been told by one of the old boys that Good Friday is the day to pu seed pots in the ground!!

I will put potatoes in grow bags in my greenhouse this weekend and then you can all see a video of me doing it. That is as long as the weather is nice. I am desperate to get some planted.

Mine have been in for about two weeks now, but they are in the greenhouse. I have even had to recover them once.
I say go for it, even shelter from a wall will help against the frost, but keep the fleece on standby!

keeping it traditional with st. patrick's day
then they will all go out - 1st earlies, 2nd earlies and main crop - THANKS TATTIEMAN FOR THE ADVICE! - and I am very much looking forward to that video!

all will be in rubble sacks and next to a wall, as well as being covered with bubble wrap at night-time!

if his surname is Day that would be the greatest

put my earlies into bags beginning of the week and my potato bed is covered ready for the big planting. will leave it later rather than sooner because its so cold

Im going to put my mini greenhouse up at the weekend and attach it to the wall of the house. Then, plant up a couple of my potato bags with first earlies and put them in the bottom. The wall i have in mind is south facing too, so should give them a good chance i hope.

Will then put some more in on good friday
