  • When to plant out courgettes

Ive never grown these before, I have 3 plants in the greenhouse growing well, when would be the best time to plant these out?

I have mine in the porch at the moment - just as well with the weather outside but I will think about it if the weather improves by mid month. They are going in the front garden, which is south facing and when I put them out I have very large, cut down water bottles at the ready to shove over them if the night temps look like they are going to drop. If push comes to shove the bottles will be wrapped in fleece as well.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

They never even 'grew a bit' to get cold Bren, they were snug in my airing cupboard and then in the sun, just lazy I reckon!

Planted mine out at the weekend (biggish plants with roots escaping their pots) through some black weed control fabric with pop-cloches over the top (bargain from a local £ shop).

The sunny warm weather in April was a bit too good at getting the seedlings going (pumpkins should be ready to out in a week or two as well).
