  • When to plant oats ?

So I got a packet of heritage Irish oat seeds, and Im wondering when would be a good time to plant them ? I figured it would be sometime in Spring and before St Patricks day, but whether thats now or end of Feb I dont know.

Im based in the quite wet NW of Ireland where apparently they used to be grown quite a lot. How or when Im just not sure

Any advice would be most welcome.

Oats "should be sown as early as possible in the growing season". For me, that would mean early March
