    When is garlic ready?

    I planted some garlic back in February (Solent White from Suttons).

    It is going great guns and giving me no problems at all, but can someone tell me how I will know when harvest it as I have never grown garlic before.

    It should start to die back sometime in June-ish.

      Around June / July the leaves will turn yellow then die back. It's ready then.

      From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

        My Solent Wights have a few leaves already going yellow, it's not due to lack of nitrogen cause I went down that route, and they are not going rotten either

          My spring grown has all but caught up the autumn grown stuff. Is this normal? Will they be ready at different times?
