Dig it out, pot it on & see what it turns into

Can't see the leaf properly. Looks a bit like a begonia - but I do have begonias on the brain at the moment.

Oh VC, you do make me smile! Could a begonia seed inadvertently have been smuggled into my Cherrola tom seed packet ..........

Yeah, think the only way to tell, is if it actually grows into something!!! Going to pot it on and see what happens!!!

What compost are you using Susie? Could a wayward seed have fallen in the compost?

It looks like a cucumber to me?? I'd go with BB and stick it in its own pot see what happens.
An old boss did that with an unknown plant, turned out she grew herself a lovely dock
Sad thing is she still hadn't worked it out by time it was a foot tall !!

Maybe its a Tomcumber plant or a Cucumato and you can make your fortune selling it to one of the seed companies

Wow, yes VC, that'd be marvellous! Think of the money we could make with that one ....
If we bred it with a lettuce: cucamatolet - market it as an instant salad bowl

                    Mystery plant .......

This little beauty has grown along with my tomato seedlings - (it was in the pack of seeds with the other tom seeds - VC you thought it could be a begonia as you'd got them on the brain..!!) and wasn't sure what it was at the two leaf stage, and here it is now:
                    (Cucumber.....?????)

Cucumber or squash.......................or a funny begonia

I've merged the threads so the clever clogs can see that they were right at the outset

Defiantly a circubit of some sort. Let it fruit and then you will know.

Ooooh, it's quite interesting trying to solve my mystery (half-breed tom/cucurbit....) plant - or could it be a funny begonia that thinks it's a cucumber/tom ........

Here's My Little Cuckoo In the Nest Today!!

Well, so glad I took all your advice and potted this little 'cuckoo' on - look what I found this morning....................

I am so proud of the little fella - he's had little or no pampering given to him and has rewarded me with this lovely little cumber.......
