  • What veg don't you want to grow?

Seeing the thread about Radish and how, reputedly, easy they are to grow, I realised that I had loads of radish seeds that I will never sow - because I don't really like them!
I feel much the same about Swede so will never give up space in my garden to them.
Do you have veg that you dislike so much that you won't grow them?

Aubergines - had too many of them slopped in oil when I lived overseas. It's put me off for life.

Celery - the devil's own vegetable, spawned in the bowels of hell.

The putrid stuff should be banished from Earth forever!

            EDIT

Oops, sorry VVG, seems we were posting at the same time.

I wonder why I'm growing peas - because I can! Hate shelling peas.

There is nothing like fresh peas though straight out of the pod

Mine's going to have to be celery as well I think. Not that I dislike it, it's just I dont have lots of room in my garden and as I'm the only one in our house who will eat the stuff I'd much rather use what precious little space I do have on something we'll all enjoy.
If it comes from a plant, eat it. If it was made in a plant, don't!!

For me it has to be hairy Brazilian water parsnips.

I don't know if they exist but if they did I'm sure they'd taste revolting

On the upside, it doesn't taste of much when cooked, especially in strong flavoured foods like curry, but raw...........
