Kestrel, furtled from under the soil and the plant left in position.
They tasted lovely, my fave potato to grow.

Lady Christl - good yield of beautiful white, unmarked potatoes.
Good taste, other people really loved them, but it's not quite the first early taste I've been searching for. I'll be trying something different next year.Life is too short for drama & petty things!

I also have kestrel, which I love, but have only furtled my Duke of York which have huge foliage and are just starting to flower. Just a few marble sized spuds though, so decided to leave them for a few weks yet!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

Up to now i have scoffed half a row of Rocket yesterday i dug a root of Winston cripes bigger than hen eggs old gal marley will be making chips with them unless i keep eye on her..

So far this year - Jersey Royals, which had great flavour but were disappointingly small - think I may have been a bit impatient
and then rockets, which tasted pretty good, but not as good as the royals. However, they were a very good size/yield and excellent texture.
Next I will be harvesting charlotte, vivaldi, pink fir apple - I think that's the right order? I just planted five of each to experiment with.Never say never!Comment

Swift last week, tasty but not the best we've ever eaten.
This week had a root around and pulled 2lb of maris peer from thier gro bag, all I can say is I honestly thought I'd gone to heaven!!! A perfect "muddy" but fresh taste, superb.
Next week, arron pilot!!! been to the allotment today and had a quick furtle and they seem to be ready!!! Watch this space!!Comment

so far we have dug lady christl and pentland javelin.About 1lb from each haulm.I think they both had a lovely flavour but I liked pentland javelin best.We carefully replanted the haulms (lots of tiny potatoes on them) and watered them and they are happily growing ,so hopefully we will have a second crop !!Comment

Swifts last week, very tasty but not a great yield. That may be to do with my impatience though!Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.Comment
