  • What size pots do I need..

..for dwarf french beans? I've grown them in a big cattle trough before, but this time am more limited as we may be moving..again... So how big?
    And chard...

I've got veggie containers, those sort of polywhatsit ones about 45cm high, or big plastic ones of various sizes.
Think everything else I've grown in tubs before, so can manage.

Chard can get huge, but I've got 3 in a one metre wide bed at school - they'll be cut frequently so they'll be fine. The ones on my lotty are being allowed to seed, and they're a metre high & wide

Dwarf Frenchies are quite shallow rooted, and grow about a foot high. I plant them 6" apart but I know other people go closer than that

French beans 4-6 inches apart and chard 9 inches apart. I use a rich compost and pick regularly, never letting the plants get too big.
