Too wet, some kind of rot? The last picture shows the tray the pot stands in is very green/algae'd suggesting its kept very wet?To see a world in a grain of sand

You might have drowned it. I'm afraid I made that mistake with my tomatoes this year, watering from below with insufficient drainage. Not sure how you would make it recover, but hope someone will be along who knows about cucumbers soon. You may find that the moderators move your thread to somewhere more appropriate like New Shoots, or Vegging Out, so be prepared!

watered in tray but kept on topping the tray up to the top i have now took out of tray i will no next time thank you all membersComment

The plant won't recover its to far gone, however if you have not thrown it away all might not be lost.
Cut off the leading growing tip about 4/6" long and pop it in a milk bottle full of water. If you have a little luck you will see roots start to appear within about 5/6 days. Keep the water level above the root system and give it about 10 days in total, the roots should now be about 11/2" long.
Take a 5" pot with about an 1" of compost in the bottom and carefully lay out the roots and top of with compost. Place it on a window sill and water sparingly from the bottom until you see signs of growth, the plant may sulk a little during this time. When it starts to pick up resume normal watering, pot on as normal.
I did one about a month ago and gave it to a friend who had lost his, he reported on Sunday that it already as small cumbers growing.

If you haven't thrown it away, and you've also done what Potstubsdustbins suggests, you could carefully take the plant out of the pot and then put the pot on the ground upside down. Stand the wet rootball on top of the pot and leave it for a couple of days to dry out - it might work, it might not. You won't have lost anything by trying.Originally posted by brynley View Post
