They won't like being grown indoors at all. They need a cold spell. Can't you fence it off or something? I've got winter cabbage, sprouts, purple sprouting broccoli, garlic, onions, leeks, parnips and winter lettuce. Jerusalem artichokes are on there way out but will be harvested over winter. You need to start most stuff off in late spring/summer for overwintering. But you can still put onions and garlic in and maybe peas and broadies.

Oh dear. Crops need to be outside in the sun. Keep the dog indoors

Its not too late for japanese onions and garlic - its always advised to put a bit of netting over anyway to stop the pigeons helping themselves over winter so would the netting also keep your dog off? In a couple of weeks it will be time for planting broadbeans and I've also put in some meteor peas (but too early as all have already sprouted). If you have a branch of The Range near you they are doing 3 packs for £5 on garlic and onions which is reasonable if you don't have another source.

the whole reason I got a dog is because some one robbed my fishing tackle out of my shed and befor you say if the dog bites the person robbing it will get put down that only happens without warning signs same with barb wire if theres no signs saying warning or caution u can take them court if u cut yourself

As a lot of plants benefit from netting maybe you could consider building a wooden framed "cage" that would solve both problems - one keep your dog off your veg and 2 stop those pesky butterflies and pigeons. He might come in useful digging up spuds by the sound of it
