  • What to do with my spare strawberry planter

I have a spare strawberry planter. It's obviously now too late for straws so what else could I put in it?

I was thinking of going to my local garden centre and getting a sweet pepper plant. Is a planter big enoug for 1 or 2 of these? Any other suggestions? Is it too late for leeks?

What about planting it up with herbs Rob, or maybe a courgette in the top?

I was thinking herbs as it is a strawberry/herb planter!!

However, I am not a massive herb fan. The only ones I really like are coriander and basil and I don't think they stand much chance outdoors. If I recall correctly, basil is a strictly indoors plant only, and coriander is a bit hit and miss outdoors.

I grow coriander and basil in my back garden very easily it doesant take a lot of work really coriander will grow from seed and basil I usually grow int the cold frame in peet pots until there about a few inches high and then I put them outside and they grow fine (although I have grown from seed out side before it's a little slower but will grow )so I would go for it I'm already sowing my send lot of coriander as last of first lot has flowered and gone to seed.
