  • What is correct for my lettuce seeds!?

Hi first time for me to grow lettuce on my greenhouse. Please can someone advice what method is correct. I Planted the seeds last weekend in plastic containers growth has started. Do I need to keep the plastic clear lid on to Create moisture and stop it all drying out too quickly or do I need to allow the seeds air and water as required.

I've included the two pics. As I'm
Not sure which is the correct method. These are in my greenhouse.

    Many thanks.

At this time of the year lettuce needs to be outside in the fresh air.

Only bother with the lids when its too cold for germination without them, even then remove the lid once they have sprouted.

They will be fine outside just keep an eye out for pests.

Lettuce will germinate outdoors pretty much year round. They prefer it cool.

I just sprinkle mine on the surface of my raised beds and lightly cover, they grow well (if the ***** cats don't dig them up using my veg bed as a toilet)
