  • What can I do from seed now

In my greenhouse could I still start some things from seed? I did sow French climbing beans 5 days ago and they are coming through now. But could I start tomatoes? And another courgette?

Bit late for tomatoes - you could try rooting a sideshoot in a pot of water and you might get a truss of fruit, particularly from a cherry variety. Courgette should be just about ok as they grow very quickly.

You can also sow lettuces, oriental greens, florence fennel, small varieties of carrots, winter cabbage, dwarf beans, late varieties of peas, spinach and possibly beetroot although some of these are pushing it a bit.
