  • What is it called?

When we were renovating the house I found and old cable which ran from the house to the shed and greenhouse.

The cable was sheathed in a strong, black flexible pipe. I managed to salvage a few metres of it and thought of using it to drape my brassica netting over. I need to buy some more - but what is it called? For the life of me I can't remember.

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

i always find if you go to the hardware/diy/whatever shop and tell em what you want (specially if you're a particularly dizzy girly like me when it comes to technical stuff) they love trying to work out what you're on about (don't go at busy times ) ... I'm sure they talk about me for days when i go down my local one ... but usually get what i want .... eventually

Apparently, they are the same thing.
Blue Alkathene Pipe (MDPE) 20mm x 100 Metres - Header Tanks & MDPE Pipe - Poultry

Although some sites have them as different ?

I live next door to a plumbers merchants and they are getting used to me! Yesterday I went in to ask about MDPE but had forgotten the paper I had written on. I said what I wanted it for and that it was called something using initials and it took about 10 mins for 3 of them to decide what it was! - 20 metres for £19. My bed is only 2 ft across, any idea how to work out how long they need to be to give a reasonable height ( I have peas in the bed).

Less than a quid a metre sounds reasonable to me!
