100 DAYS OF HEAVY SNOW: Britain now facing worst winter in SIXTY YEARS warn forecasters
LONG-RANGE weather forecasters have warned that Britain should prepare for heavy and persistent snow for up to THREE MONTHS with winter 2013 set to be the worst in more than 60 years.

The latest detailed forecasts for winter 2013 ALL point towards months of relentless extreme cold with heavy snow 'extremely likely' across the country.

Arctic air will roar in from the North Pole later this week, triggering the start of the worst winter in many people's lifetimes.

Experts in long-range weather forecasting said the WHOLE of Britain should be prepared for this winter to be the most severe since 1947, which saw the UK hit by relentless snow and some of the lowest temperatures on record.

This is a subject very close to my heart and the anger i feel when people do long term predictions is intense.

Firstly, forget anything the Daily Depress puts as its front page headlines.

Secondly, any "experts" who work in companies predicting weather are doing it for one reason only, PROFIT.

Thirdly, It is impossible, and i mean IMPOSSIBLE to predict anything more than 5-10 days in advance.

I really am at such a loss why people predict this stuff....and even more so why people believe it. If you dissect the wording where it says "some parts of Britain will see heavy snowfall in September"....well yes, it's not uncommon for the northern and high up regions of Scotland to get snow....and yes, that's Britain, so technically they're right.

However, most "experts" rely on trends. This summer just gone, even the met office said in its long term forecast that we were in for lower than norm temps and wetter than average months. How wrong they were.

So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, stop listening to the so called experts and the Daily Express and just concentrate on what we're going to get in the next week.

I think it depends which site you look at, which forecaster you listen to. I'll be happy if this one is accurate:
