I sowed some seeds in a trough with mizuna, red & green mixed and rocket on 27th April and have been harvesting leaves for the past few days, apart from the watercress - I figured there wasn't enough moisture for it, but today I noticed a few watercress seedlings in the trough so the rain over the past few days must have had an effect. Hopefully it will grow enough for me to harvest.

I couldn't be bothered with watercress - land cress is much easier and just as good IMO!

I have just put mine on the compost heap. We have harvested it for over a month but I found it bitter and not pleasant! Even the youngest shoots. I won't be growing it again and have given the rest of the packet to my friend who is growing it in her pond. I had mine in a pot with a saucer of water under that I kept full.

I grow mine in a tray on capillary matting in a shady part of the garden. I have been picking it for about a month now, just as good as the shops. At the moment it does keep trying to flower, but as I'm picking shoots virtually every day I've kept it going fine. I'm very pleased with it.

Got mine in 12" pot, as an experiment I've put about 14 in the pot, so been harvesting for few weeks now, taking cuttings ruthlessly :-).

Someone on the forum has recommended to grow it in the pot without drainage, which I did, and it works brilliantly.

Last year my bloke linked up a trough to the waterbutt to collect any overflow (of which there was very much!) and we put pots of watercress in that. It worked a treat.
We've moved house now and my garden is on a hill so i've planted watercress at the very bottom where it's wettest. It's growing well but yesterday i noticed that it's started to flower which it didn't do last year- i assume it's because it's not quite so wet...
I've also tried growing land cress for 2 years but i'm having no luck- last year i got 1 seed germinated which lasted about 3 days this year nowt at all!!
