    Very Late Potatoes

    Whilst tidying out my bombsite of a garage, I found a bag of maincrop potatoes that I have somehow missed planting out (I've got 3 bags in already)...

    Can I plant them? I've got the room, either outside or in the polytunnel. Will they have enough time to actually grow?

    You need about 12-14 wks for them to get to maturity, so assuming that they don't get blight and that you don't get frost before the middle of Oct, I'd do it.

    I'd do it anyway, actually, as you say that you have the room, and the alternative is to bin them. Or eat them, I suppose.
