    Has anyone got any tips on how to make vermiculite finer for finer seeds?

    I wouldn't have thought you need to Mark as it is so light, the seeds will find there way through but you could use a coffee grinder or similar........maybe a peppercorn grinder.

      There is usually stuff at the bottom of the pack, but as BM says, it's not really needed as once they germinate they poke through.

        Put some in a plastic bag and flatten it with a rolling pin/empty bottle - as you do with bread crumbs?
