  • Veggies have just started germinating....

Hey there guys, I've left my pots in the boiler room for nearly a week now and some of the spinach and marrows have started to germinate but the leaves are yellow on the spinach? Is this because of lack of sunlight and should I leave them in the sun now?

Also I could leave the pots outside but It gets pretty cold at night (2-5 degrees) so should I keep them indoors or what do you suggest?

    Thanks

Keep them in the dark for germination: as soon as that's happened, you must put them in the light. As much light as you can.

Spinach can go outside, but marrows are more tender. Keep them under glass or indoors until next month

Use your windowsills once the seeds have germinated.

Thanks for that, what you guys think about me using a lamp light for overnight keeping? Looking around a few websites it seems ok to do but some people say it takes longer for the plant to mature and the fruit might taste off?

Unless you are growing some sort of cannabis, I don't think you need to worry about lights

lol Did you read about that police raid after they looked on infrared and saw this chaps house roof glowing white-hot? Turns out he was running servers in his loft - bet the police thought they'd hit the jackpot!
