  • Unsprouting broccolli

I have 6 beautifully healthy looking PSB plants, which have been in since Autumn. They are lovely looking things but not a single sprout between them?

Do I wait patiently? or pull them up and get on with planting my chard and lettuce?

At least the Spring cabbages have finally woken up!

I'd say leave them there as long as they are healthy, they will do their business when time is right. 6 PSBs will produce a lot of meals, it would be shame to loss them.

Once I was giving some PSB's which did not flower in April, it turned out they were actucally cauliflowers and they flowered later in May.

It would be interesting to see what happens to yours.

OK......... I've got to ask, how did you not spot the difference between a PSB and a cauliflower

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

My PSB is the same. I've got some micro florets from one (so it is PSB!), but the others aren't playing.

You could just eat the leaves - it's basically cabbage.

Autumn seems a bit late to be planting out PSB. I would leave them, the should produce spears sometime soon if they are healthy plants.
