  • Turnip demi long blanc de croissy - help finding seeds?

    Hi Folks,

For some time now Raymond Blanc has been recommending this as the best turnip. I've seen this twice in the newspapers.

I've got a silly yearning to find out if he is right but cannot find the seeds. Its been on the list for ages and I totally forgot how this forum can help.

My feeling is someone here has grown this before and knows where the seeds can be obtained.

    Any ideas? [and thanks].

Here in France turnips are called navet and there are loads of results if you search for Navet demi long blanc de croissy. I don't know how this helps you because they are all French sites but, if you PM me your address, next time I am shopping I can try and pick up a packet for you if you like.

Brilliant - now if I only had brains I could have thought of that one.

I've been looking for a french website that will sell to the UK and failing so far; so will PM you on this.

Might just email a few UK seed suppliers as well - if they are that good then perhaps we need them here.

Don't they look like a mooli radish? I already grow April cross and love it so am really looking forward to trying these.
