Tunnel Cloches over Asparagus

Hi

Need some advice on using tunnel cloches. My asparagus is only just poking its tips through the soil and i was wondering if putting a tunnel cloche over it at this time would damamge it or perhaps force the asparagus unknowingly which i want to avoid as i am desperate to keep my crowns cropping effectively for many years. The crowns are two years old.

There's no need to protect it, it's perfectly hardy, my seed sown crowns survived outside in 5" pots the bad weather in Jan and are looking lovely and healthy now.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
