  • Tumeric & Ginger

    Hi All,

Was hoping to grow some Tumeric and Ginger this year, I think it is to late to grow ginger now. But can I still grow tumeric, can get some tubers/rhizomes off the net.

Thanks for your help in advance

I've never thought about there being a right time to grow these things!
    Just give it a go

You can still grow ginger too - it takes 10 months to get to cropping size and you'd have to bring it inside for winter anyway as it doesn't do frosts.

        Bung it in a pot!

My Ginger has been growing for the past few months. I have two pots and keep thrm in the conservatory in the dsytime and bring thrm indoors at night.

not too late as both will require winter protection. dont buy off the internet though a quick trip to morrissons or your local Asian greengrocer will sort you out.you could try Galangal too
