My first year growing these too. I'm just letting them get on with it - I've not read anyone advise to remove their side shoots.

Hopefully am not about to be proven wrong cos I've let mine go wild!

Mine grew upwards for ages, but they've started reaching over the edge now and look like they're verging on tumbling.

If only there were toms - just flowers at the moment!

Give them time. mine only recently started tumbling. It now has flowers and a microscopic green fruit. Just keep watering and feeding them in the usual way.

Mine are the same, don't remove shoots, as they are a bush type, so the trusses form on the side shoots (I think)
