Default 'Tornedo' Leek Variety

I've always grown 'Musselburgh', but got given some pelleted 'Tornado' Leek seed from a mate. To date, I've not been able to gleen info on whether it's an early, a late, a green, a blue, a hardy, etc. and therefore any knowledge from you gorgeous lot, would be brilliant.
I shall still be growing Musselburghs, but thought I'd try some of the Tornado too, if I can find the room !!

Wellie, this describes tornado. I looked it up as I have seed as well:-

"A very high yielding variety with long shanks and good cold tolerance. Erect, medium green foliage. Some rust resistance. Suitable for baby leeks."

The fact that it suggests suitable for baby leeks makes me fairly sure that it is an early variety.

Thanks Piglet....
I'll concentrate on the Musselburghs, and stick the Tornado's in a spare space if I get one at the right time !
