its a chocolate coloured cherry tom given to me by a lad down the road,so i dont really know,it just says chocolate cherry on the label he had put on it,still trying to get my head around it growing out of the bottom for 3ins then a sharp bend upwards,it must like it though, its growing faster than the potted ones, lad next door reckons its now an aussie tom for a pommie tom grower,i do hate smart ar...,..

It is usual to grow 'bush' type toms in those containers. If it's the same dark cherry that I grow its a cordon type, that could be your explanation.

And it is the nature of most plants to grow towards the light, which is generally upwards!

I've heard good things about chocolate cherry and there are several vendors who sell the seeds for these. Like Potstubsdustbins stated, this should be a cordon so it will be interesting to see how it grows in a topsy turvy. Let us know how it gets on!
