To sow some little gem lettuce? And if not can I grow it indoors?

You might be better with something like Winter Density. I would have thought light levels would be too low indoors unless you are going to use up old seed and grow "micro greens" -

If you particularly like Little Gem, there is a variety called Winter Gem, which is similar but bred to grow in low light levels. I grew some last year and it was good.
I grow most of my lettuce indoors on windowsills or under grow lights as I find this a satsifactory way of avoiding slugs, aphids and caterpillars. There's still time to get some lettuce in. All the better if you have a greenhouse.
Rocket is something else you might like to try. A bit of an acquired taste, but a quick grower.Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.

I can vouch for winter gem - I grew them last year in the polytunnel and they were great - and I don't even like 'soft' lettuces normally! Lol
