  • Tomatos affected by blossom end rot, still edible?

Hey, A number of my tomatos seem to have developed blossom end rot, it seems to be nothing serious but a small black patch at the underside of the fruit, they are still green at the moment.
I just wanted to know if it is worth letting these ripe and using them for cooking, or are they worthless now and are only worthy of the bin?

Yes, they are edible, just remove the bad bit. If you have tomatoes developing BER, then make sure you aren't letting the soil dry out.

I cut some BER off yesterday and grilled them, they were still tasty.
