  • Tomato Tomarvellous

Bought a couple of plants of the above variety quite late in the season and grew them on. They are still producing now and the toms have been far superior in flavour to anything else I've grown this year (Sungold, Garten Perl, Gardener's Delight).
I see that they are exclusive to T&M (although occassionally offered on QVC) and are 'trademarked'.
I'd love to grow some next year but the plants are quite expensive and are not offered as seeds.
Does anybody know if they are F1 hybrids? If not, how would I harvest and save the seed?

Their blurb doesn't say F1. Save the seeds by scraping onto kitchen towel, a little apart from one another. You can either pick off the seeds at sowing time or just cut up the kitchen paper and 'sow' bits with a seed on. But if I tell you this I'll have to kill you! (Well, it's got a TM on - however that is enforced?)
Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

There is a thread on here about taking tomato cuttings and keeping them all winter and they become early plants next year.

I've taken 6 to try it; of the ones I want for 2010........one little module can sit on the kitchen window all winter without much fuss.

Thanks folks. Think I'll try a bit of both.
