10 litres is fine - I have got away with smaller ones than that in the past, but I'm planning on using 11 litre square pots for the outdoor ones that are going in pots.

I use 10ltr pots only thing is you have to watch the watering on very hot days.

I have used 8 and 10 litre pots before and they were fine for a plant of around 4-5 trusses, albeit requiring a lot of watering and feeding regularly. So you shouldn't have any problems. Any smaller and you are into twice daily watering and organising your life around your toms.

Last year I made the transition to 15 litre pots for the greenhouse as I was growing slightly bigger plants. 15 litres was ideal for a tom and a basil plant, and I sat them in a tray which I could fill with water for the occasional night away.
