  • Tomato green zebra

I have just tried a few green zebra tomatoes, wow, the flavour is unbelievably good, sweet yet firm. What do you guys think about it if you have grown them. And can I collect seeds from it?

Yes you can collect seeds from them, and yes I agree, they are fantastic tasting toms. Have 2 plants, full to bursting with toms and will be looking for things to do with them all shortly.

They are one of my favourites and I save seed from them every year. Have you tried halving and grilling any? It intensifies the flavour. I like to grow one or two large tomatoes each year and a couple of Green Zebras are always included. They are also fabulous in a Greek salad with feta cheese and a few red/yellow toms in too for contrast. Salivating at the thought!

I want to try Green Zebras, simply because they're odd, but if they taste great as well, so much the better. Can anyone recommend a supplier? I don't think 'Real Seeds' do them.

I tried these last year because Flum recommended them and they are gorgeous. This year they are twice the size of last! Can't wait for them to ripen. I got mine from Premier Seeds on a well known auction site.
