    i have just seen some tomatillo on sale in morrisons,what do they taste like?,and can you use the seeds inside to grow more?,i will have some space in the g/house so i want to try something new...

      They have a sharpness about them Buff. They have no juice. Their texture is almost lijke an aubergine inside, that firm wooliness. They are easy to grow, and easy to save seed from. See the link above.

        thanks a lot,with the strong winds wrecking our internet connection for nearly a week,we have been out of touch.,three nights of 90+mph winds certainly clears the cobwebs(and roof slates)....

          Had some last night in a tomato, beef and chilli mix layered with home made tortillas sandwiched together with melted cheese and they added a lovely sweet and tangy sharpness. Roasted them first in a little olive oil to sweeten and soften them and popped them all in the pan to release even more juices. Well worth growing imo.

          Hope you didn't lose too many tiles!
