  • Today I ordered...

Ordered from organic gardening two varieties of sweet pepper and two varieties of onion sets. Not tried onion sets before, so it'll be interesting ..
Need to get a tower of compost for all my planned sowings - just to keep up with VC's carrot challenge!!

Which ones did you order, Susie? I really fancy the French pink Keravel onions. Has anyone tried them before?

Just keep an eye on them for the first few weeks as they tend to push themselves out of the ground, also when planting them leave the tips of the bulb showing. It may also pay to put some cover over them to stop birds pulling them out................Growing onion sets is such fun..............

Wel a few days ago, I ordered a selection of lilies, complete with pretty pots, for my balcony, and also some new secateurs! How exciting

I love pulling up my onions, i love planting far too many and plant them too close but i pull up every other one to use as immature baby onions that i love roasting whole.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them
