  • Three Potatoe varities

I recently joined Irish Seed Savers society as I feel it is important to try protect and maintain some of the history behind what people used to sow before it all became commercial...They have sent me out 3 potatoe varities (8 seed potatoes of each) to plant....

I am fairly sure these are not very common and hence the efforts to maintain them as a growing crop..

Anyone got any stories or views on them?

    they are:

    Dempsey's Delight
May Queen - a first early
    Peach's Bloom - a late maincrop

...they also sent me out some seeds which I will post details on later..
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

    ...utterly nutterly

I've grown Peach Bloom, they were OK but didn't make it to my must grow list. Don't know the others though. Am guessing I got them from JBA as I normally do.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
