Default terracotta vs plastic pots

I know there was a similar thread a couple of weeks ago but I can't find it!Noticed today that the peppers & toms we've got growing in pots in the garden are looking totally different~despite being same varieties & same compost The ones in terracotta pots have dark green leaves & are looking really healthy whereas the ones in plastic pots are looking quite anaemic(almost lime green leaves)&nowhere near as much foliage.like I said their growing conditions are identical except for the pots!Anyone else found this?Anyone know why?

I'll be interested in replies to this, as my toms in hanging baskets look fine, but the ones in (plastic) pots don't. I wonder if it has anything to do with the porosity of the terracotta? Helps prevent overwatering and allows more air to the root system? Grasping at straws there...!

I think the same as SlugLobber. If you tend to overwater your plants, they will suffer. Terracotta is porous, and is harder to overwater than plastic.
