  • Taller Chillies?

My Cayenne chillies seem to be bushing quite well, but they're a bit spindly and not very tall. Shall I nip out the elbows I can see on the stem to make them grow upwards? Not had to do this before, but maybe I should have been doing it anyway?

I think there was another recent post about the benefits of piching out the tops of chilli plants, seems brutal!

my cayennes grew tall and branched out well, great cropper too! I have been told that you shouldnt nip out the side shoots (as you do for tomatoes)

If they're bushy I would leave them alone for now Flo. No doubt they will put on a spurt of growth when (if) the weather warms up.
